Antique plates
« on: July 17, 2020, 04:32:07 PM »
Hi guys wonder if you can help
Now it's fixed i am going to put my 90 on antique plates having found decent prices for right hand drive at last.    But they require membership of specialty club....so I gather more would qualify for that ...and a letter from a club exec to write and sign a letter of roadworthiness and originality.  Is there anyone on more who can do such a thing.....?? I live near digby ...if that helps .. any info most appreciated.   Thanks.Dave

I didn't go that route.. you can also just have a shop inspect the vehicle and fill out a  "certificate of mechanical fitness"... if i recall correctly get the form from access ns.

Mechanical fitness inspection, atleast at the shop that did mine, was a bit more in depth than a regular safety inspection, i have heard of other having a much easier inspection.

Take the mechanical fitness inspection to access ns, that along with the age gets you antique plates with $17ish a year registration.

That's great I'll get to access NS once they open up I'm the meantime I'll try and track down a shop that doesn't panic when they see a landrover in front of them.  Haha.  Thanks. Dave

access ns is open.. it is in Dartmouth anyway. Not sure about down your way but up here they are giving the option to call and make an appointment instead of waiting in line outside for your turn to go in and wait longer..
