Painting the 8N
« on: August 21, 2009, 09:55:07 AM »
Well with no Rover to work on and a sunny day crying for good mechanical tinkering I decided to tidy up the old 8N.

It hasn't run in several years since the axle trunion pin came out and the tractor crashed down crushing the rad and fan on the axle. That was almost 3 years ago.

Looks like a low rider eh?

Shawn and John C were there for the recovery.

So I ordered a bunch of new parts including a rad and put it all back together the other day

Getting started

While changing the plugs I snapped off all 4 in the head!
The plugs sit in a hollow so they rust in like crazy.

Lots of heat, WD 40 and a big easy out fixed me up.

Much better

Cheers

John,

I expected you were going to remind me to put the trunion bolt in!
