Hydraulic powerpack hiding under plastic cover. Sno-Way plows have the hydraulics located onthe plow so when you unclip, everything goes with the plow.

Cool ! Good idea.  I had a board member selling me a plow some weeks back, but no idea where we are with that. . . so I am still on the prowl for a plow that will bolt onto my Series II with no mods. . . . . ..

Ben, yes it is electric - Basically a winch motor driving a hydraulic pump. Most newer plows are made this way. I don't think anyone still uses a belt driven pump anymore, except maybe super heavy duty applications.

I think the Sno-Ways are ideal for a Land-Rover. I think Rovers North used to sell them way back when,. Due to the lexan moldboard they are lighter than conventional plows, the removable powerpack works best for smaller, lighter vehicles as you don't have 200 lbs of extra stuff hanging off the front of the truck at all times, and it has hydraulic down pressure to make up for the lighter plow/truck weight. Clicking on the down pressure switch loads the back tires as an added benefit. Plus, they aren't too expensive.

Utah!, how was that?

Utah was outstanding!  I've got to do it again in 2010.  And this time I'll take the full two weeks off to get more off-roading in Moab.  Y'all should come too!

My poor old Land Rover is working the daily grind.....to the tune of 10000 miles last year. And there is no breaks on the weekends either....we still got chores to be done...

That trailer was orginally built to haul a diesel powered welder so its a load even empty.

This year she is also on the driveway snow detail too.
