Alex Colville's painting Embarkation http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0n9IExEpmh8/TAnEXQu2jNI/AAAAAAAAWnw/jVMP2CGI3aE/s1600/embarkation.jpg has the words "Range Rover" on the back of the man's head. I think the man is Alex Colville. I'd like to learn the explanation for this.

He's probably got a Range Rover cap himself.

Does he or did he also have a Range Rover? Any other Land Rover connections in his work?

I think he believes that if he kicks the boat away he will be able to buy a new Range Rover with the insurance money.
