I looking for a usable Jerry can and a Jerry Can Holder for my series 2a truck, either a front or rear mountable holder would do.

Would scepter can do? Or if you're after steel ones?

I have a couple of ex military cans here that I believe are sound. I used to have a spare holder but I think that has gone now.

The reason I'm looking for the jerry can and rack is to have a spare bit of gas on hand for those occasional times I'm worried about where the next gas station may be - especially if I'm not on a road!! I considered a second tank, but that alternative is pricey and a bit awkward. I do carry a plastic can inside now on some trips, but I don't like doing it and there is often a smell of fuel. I'm not keen on having a plastic tank on the outside, and I don't really want to lash it way up on the roof rack.

The ideal solution, therefore, is a metal jerry can in a metal holder with the holder bolted either on the back or against the inner part of the front fender, by the rad grill. This would allow for a padlock, too.

John, if one of your cans is good to use, that would be great. I figure I could make up a holder, but a second hand one would always be faster. I'll send you a PM about the can.

After looking around in my parts department  I have two of them. One limestone and a green mat military color. They never been installed. The limestone one was painted but not bolted on.. Let me know if it can suit you.
