Hi all.

With the hybrid officially nearing completion, we're putting our 1983 110 County on the market.  A hybrid + 110 + old VW are simply too much to maintain well.  We'll be listing the 110 on Kijiji soon, with an asking of $10,800.

This truck was imported from Britain, and we took it through an extensive refurbishment in 2006-2007.  It has logged 80,000-100,000 km since most of this work was done.  It is not a concours truck, but a practical daily workhorse with scratches, dents, and a "used" patina.  It is very solid mechanically, doesn't leak oil, and has wonderful brakes that can lock up all 33" tires on the highway with ease.  The diesel engine is strong, and for regular highway commuting returns ~20 mpg (imperial), or ~24 mpg (british).  During rebuild, several aesthetic features of older Series trucks were integrated into the 110, including liftgate/tailgate rear (instead of door), and dashboard style.  The 110 is safety certified in Nova Scotia through July 2011.

I've attached a link below to a web photo gallery.  The 110's BFG tires are almost fully worn, but we'll let the truck drive away instead on its (almost unused) winter tires - Wild Country TXR of the same size - which are far better than the BFGs on wet and snowy roads.

Truck details:
-Converted to left-hand drive, and power steering
-FULLY rebuilt Toyota 3.4 litre 3B diesel engine (legendary half-million km longevity), turbocharged
-Ashcroft rebuilt LT77 transmission (late style with big bearings)
-Transfer case (Q) from 1999 Land Rover
-Custom driveshafts by Drive Products, including double-cardan front
-Griffin aluminum racing radiator
-Hydroboost brake booster (extremely strong, nice modulation too)
-Full OME Heavy duty suspension (springs, shocks)
-OME castor correction bushings in front end
-Warn M8000 winch
-Detroit locker in rear axle
-BFG MT 255-85R16 (33.5" x 10")
-Full length galvanized roof rack
-Galvanized bulkhead and doorposts
-Galvanized rear crossmember
-Series dashboard shelf and central gauge cluster
-New windscreen
-Rear liftgate/sideswing tailgate combo
-Seats from Subaru Forester.  Rear seats fold forwards.
-Body stiffener behind rear seats.
-double core heater

It looks like the the missing stud is on a different Rover? Photo included to show the "(almost unused) winter tires - Wild Country TXR"

Careful thought and hard work was put into this 110. Nice work Dave.

Hi.  Thanks, and yes, it's hard - but on the flipside we're excited about the new Rover we're trying to finish.  Yes, the TXR tires are currently not on the 110, but mounted on different rims to hold up a Series I in the yard.  Cheers! Dave

NICE !

Me too.

Damn I wish that I had the cash this year.   That looks like a sweet truck.   Very few LHD diesel 110s around.  Most are RHD.
