I just saw this on eBay today. It's located in Maine.

It's not a true bugeye. It's a homemade job.

Hmm, yes, I see that now once I enlarged the pic. Does look like light shadows on the breakfast, and maybe a homemade grill.

Wow!! It says it's a 1957 but that's a 80". So it would be no later then a 1954. That would make someone a great project.

You should get some more pictures of it.

They didn't start making land rover diesels till the late 50's(1956 or 1957). 80's never came with diesels so I would be interested in seeing a picture of what's under the hood.

Are you sure it's an 80 and not 86?

Yup, you can tell by the doors and window frame( the vent is included in the frame). Also you can tell by the fenders because it has the seam is along the top and not along the bend.

I'm going by the description, but my French is not the best.....

"land rover en état de marche diezel 4cyl. 4x4 carosserie en aluminium tres bien chaussée ou échange contre 4 roue"

I got Lauren to translate it for me (she can speak french). It does say it's a diesel and that the frame is good. Also it says it has a aluminum body and he would trade it for a 4 wheeler.

I'm 100% sure it's a 80" and they never came with a diesel so I would be interested to see what kind of engine it has in it.

lol, I wish it was closer... I would take a look at it.

Very good!  A fine eye for detail there Mr. Mckelvey.  I wouldn't pick up any of those clues.....
