I asked about only Canada as I have been gouged by the courier company's (Fedex, UPS, Purolator) etc. for items coming from the States and Elsewhere in the past (mostly on brokerage fees) for ham-radio and also Austin Mini parts....also things tend to take longer to get here from the States, than say, Ontario (for example)

I also prefer to keep my $$ in Canada when possible.

Atlantic British has a nice lineup of parts, but I think they only take American Express? (If I am remembering that right)....I'll have to check out this Rovers North you mention.

I've been waiting a month on Mini parts from California(that haven't even shipped yet)... (My Canadian supplier guys never had what I wanted) and the same length of time for some Rover parts from "out west" . . . .sigh

Rovers North service in terms of shipping has always been excellent, whenever I dealt with them

I understand about keeping the $ in Can, but I do find the Rovers North Site very easy to navigate and I can shop online.

You can contact Tony Smith, lilmul, on this forum for parts. I have found his prices on Brit Part items to be excellent, and he can arrange reasonable shipping cost direct from England. If you prefer, 5 business day shipping is also available at a reasonable cost. He often has service items in stock.

Tony is the man to get in touch with here at MORE. He has accounts over in England where he can bring in original parts if requested and quality alternative parts like Bearmach amongst others.

His prices and shipping is very reasonable, plus his after sales service is highly rated.

Two thumbs up for Tony.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys!!! Tony is a pretty amazing guy...one of the many reasons I married him!

Mike, I thought you were selling your Rover.  You posted a few sale notices for it.  Have you changed your mind?

Paul Safari Components is another supplier in Canada.  He is in Niagra Falls, Ontario and takes both visa and mastercard.  He can ship via Fed Ex or Canada Post.  PM either Tony or I for the phone number.

I have found that both Canada Post and Acadian Bus Lines have very reasonable shipping rates and shipping times.  If you do not want to use a courier service, these are both excellent shippers.

Sadly, the brokerage fees and additional fees are the cost of doing business with any foreign supplier.     You pay it when you order from a Canadian supplier as well but it is built into the price so you don't see it.  Unfortunately, until we all get out our insane addictions to British vehicles, those costs are going to be incurred and I don't see any of us getting over said addictions at any point in our lifes ( at least I hope not! .....  Land Rover rehab- can anyone imagine what the parking lot would look like?    I think we would all be there just so that we could have a rally!  Then we could all tell the therapists that we don't really have a problem...give us a few hours of playing in the mud and fixing our Rovers and we'll be back......
I think Tony's ADD is wearing off on me.....I am way off topic
