As an alternative to patching the bottom that has disappeared from under the left hand seat toolbox, there is the option of installing a second gas tank.

So, if someone has a second hand, second gas tank and bits to fit a Series 2a 88, I'd be interested.

PM, please. Thanks. Stephen

So Are you going with a gas tank that has fill under the seat, or are you going to cut a hole in the side and do like how the other stock gas tank fill is.

Have read that the fill under seat makes teh cab smell of gas, but again we are talking about a series rover.

Good luck. Had a few gas tanks but they were all toast so went as scrap.

Do have a new tank for my rover as  thought the one on it was leaking but as soon as the new one arrived seems like the leak on the old one evaporated.
