The forums Gallery that is located
HERE is outdated limited software that we've been using since moving to SMF a few years ago. The gallery could be upgraded to a so called "Pro" version for a number of green backs, but if doing so even that upgrade is still outdated and limited software for both admin and users alike.

I've been running a test site parallel to MORE for the newest forum software that is in it's Release Candidate stage plus also running other software packages, including a new GALLERY that is much more user friendly for everyone involved. The new Gallery can be seen
HERE.
In the middle of the page are galleries that an administrator would create for specific events where the members would have permissions to add pictures. Plus just above that you will see "Users Albums", by clicking on that you would go to user albums where you the users can create as many galleries as you wish and add all the photos that you want. Clicking on any random image would give you more information and of course a larger image. Rating images, leaving comments etc. are options avail to the users. This new gallery is integrated seamless into the forum software so that it wouldn't cause any performance loses or appear to be a add-on.
So why am I telling you all this, well I've been planning for some time now to upgrade the gallery but there are few members who have already added images to the present gallery and once I do the switch over those images will disappear.

Also the present gallery hasn't turned out to be a popular add-on and I think that is because the software isn't as robust or feature full as one would expect.....Therefore its time for a change to a better software package.
Give the new gallery a test drive at the test forum, clicking on everything so that you get a feel for it and leave your comments here. I'll even approve 5 - 10 new members for the test site so that they can upload and play with the gallery so to say.

With the comments that they provide I will tweak the setting so that it is truly user friendly once here.
Cheers,
Todd.
