Caper on the wrong side of the pond

Sweden Offroad Adventures ran an invitation only X-Mens weekend the 18 - 20 Sept 2009 at Blåningsmåla, Blekinge.

The aim of this trip was to trial prepare the site for the tours that will begin in 2010, to try and test various various ideas when running the trials and to strengthen the comradeship within the offroad scene here in Sweden. Myself and 3 other Land Rover owners were invited to take part and all I can say, when are we going again??

The concept that they will be using for their trial runs is that you show up Friday afternoon at point A and hit the trials as soon as possible. We drove til 9:30 in the dark to the first camp. The trial to the camp was just a tease of what was to come on Saturday and it was some time ago I drove trials in the dark and to say that it was challenging is an understatement.    We were lucky with the weather as it was sunny the entire weekend. The trials were not mud covered un passable tracks (I'm sure it would be a different story if it was the wet season) but were hard packed routes riddled with obstacles.  It was more a driver and vehicle challenging experience to get from one location to the next. The following two days you move along selected trials of various difficulties to the next nights camping location. Finally on Sunday evening you are back at the start point wishing that you can do it all over again. 3 days of Offroad adventures in south eastern Sweden.
