Its Official!   Labour Day will be held on Cape Breton Island this year. Chad, Tanya, Steve (Spy), and I (Lauchie) sat down to talk about some trailing on the back roads and scouting a few trails for Labour Day. When we have a date (trailing), we will post it here for everyone wanting to come along   .

Chad and I are going to take a couple of 4 wheelers and check out trails we have done in the past.

I know

Jill has decide we do a cruise or some form of sunny other vacation in the winter, so that leaves the summer for Dominica.

I have learnt you do not mess with what the woman wants

Kenneth

You are obviously still in the good books, she hasn't asked for separate vacations!

Good news  . Shelley and I were at TH this evening talking to Bruce (owner of 100 acres of land where we were trailing yesterday). Bruce has given us permission to use his land during the Labour Day Event  . He has a small barn (empty) on the land, and it is available for our use as well  . BIG thank you Bruce  . Bruce also informed us that one of the trails we were on is a listed road and open for public use  .

School in NS will be starting early this year. How much of a problem is that going to be for people who want to attend Labour Day? More specifically what would the result be if it happened the weekend BEFORE Labour Day?

Right now, everything is geared for the long weekend and the timing is tight. I still have a loose end or two to tie up before I'll start to feel comfortable. Where does the time go

PS: I'm sorry to say my computer has crashed once again  . I should have it running again sometime this week. Right now, I'm at work and at the mercy of the Klaxon (Logged on last night and was out immediately for the first 8 hours of my shift)

Lauchie,

I don't think we should move the date, but a couple of people asked me so I posted.

OK Everybody......Just a quick note to let everyone know things are looking good for September in Cape Breton  . The base of operations will be the community hall in Lower River Inhabitants. Located next to the 104 highway with the river as the back drop (working on having a bonfire on the river). Chad and I believe that our timeline is good and things are falling into place nicely. Peter, PM me if you would be willing to look after the online registration again  . Everybody mark you calender for the Labour Day event, Sept 5,6 & 7 2009  . Weekly updates will follow  . Anyone with ideas we can work into the event, please PM Chad (95 Disco) or myself (ACP30470)
