of course we can build you a 'new' 15 year old defender, with either 300tdi, TD5 or 2.4 Puma but its not cheap, last one we did was a 3ootdi for a customer in the USA (25 yr old rebuild) came is at $45,000USD.  Still alot cheaper than some people are charging for NAS 110's!

Please dont take this the wrong way but $45,000.00

I dont think so

you could fly to england and buy at least 5 or 6 of them and have them shipped over and do all of the conversions for that and then sell them.

I have a question though how are you taking a series truck and making it NEW .From what i have seen all anyone is doing is reregistering a 110 and calling it a series truck.

Please explain how you are importing a NEW series truck or a NEW 110 thats old enough to bring into Canada

Do you have a web site so people can see what you are selling.

Just my 2 cents worth

Tony, if you were to buy an old 90 or 110 and have a professional shop in the UK strip and rebuild with all new wear parts and replace with new any rusty components the bill would have to be close to the $45,000.
The danger in doing this is that the vehicle might lose its factory identity marks as things like the chassis are replaced. A fully documented rebuild and invoice history would be essential and even then you are wide open to a customs agent rejecting it as not fitting the regulations. The customs agents I have dealt with have always been very knowledgeable about the rules and regulations and have been fair but strict in applying them.
I am not suggesting in anyway that Globallandrovers are anything but genuine and obviously they need to make a profit on any business enterprise.
Personally I would bring in the unrebuilt truck and the components and have it done here.

And we would be happy to supply the components and the donor truck all in a 40' container.
Tony is you want a 'new' series truck we can build you one, we don't build series trucks, range rovers or discoveries into Defenders!     Its illeagal here to rebuild/restore a non defender and pass it off as a deffender, also we can't change a 90 into a 110 etc.
We rebuild old 110's into defenders.  We mostly sell into the USA, but i have had many clients in South America, Iceland and Africa for our trucks.  My website is www.globallandrovers.com please feel free to check me out.
As John says we replace the chassis, the original chassis number is re stamped on the new chassis (a requirement for the DVLA inspection). We also submit a letter to the DVLA stating the vehicle has been proffessionally rebuilt, engine changed (or rebuilt), colour changed (if we do that).  So then after inspection, the V5 document is re-issued with all the amendments.

I guess im just a little defensive and have seen way to many people ripped off  or pay way to much for a wreck.

I have even seen adds of trucks where they say the trucks are legal and have the correct importation papers along with the proper government papers to allow the truck into either Canada or the US.

There are so many fly by night companies trying to make a quick buck selling to unsuspecting people.

If I offended you i do apologize don’t take it to heart ,no harm intended.
