Yes Moose trophy is looming and as every year, I just can't wait.
Ahh the friends, the food and the great off roading, those nasty trails of John's will be great.

Hmmm, I wonder if I'll break my truck at the Moose this year?
Yeah, I'm sure to, I have little control over my testosterone production and as it always does. I'll overdose and push the poor truck too hard.

So Shawn and Patrick and I were talking about this and we firmly vowed not to take our trucks off road.

That doesn't sound like much fun....We need a disposable Land Rover.
Yeah, a simple little 88 that we can beat to shit and not worry about.

So it was decided.

Between us we have a fairly substantial pile of rusty, greasy old Land Rover junk.
So on Sunday May 11, we're going to drag it all into my shop and spend 1 long day building an 88 for the trails.

It all really revolves around a good frame and a running engine, we have a frame and this morning we resurrected an old engine that's been sitting in a broken old truck with it's carburetor open to the sky. Ugly ugly.
An hour later it was running and we're good to go.

Video at 11

Cheers

Pete

This we have to see, set the camera up Pete.

I for one think that this can be done, you guys have the parts, right. Plan it through and let loose!

Good Luck with the build and have FUN.

Todd.

Great project. This cries for a web cam with image captured every minute or so and made into a movie.

Vaguely reminiscent of "Junkyard Wars".............I used to like that show a lot, even though they always "seeded" the junkyard with parts, it was still neat.

Can't wait to see the time lapse photography.  One photo every 30 minues oughtta do it !
