Soft Top Rovers Have More Fun

Hi All
I Just got a set of very good used Ring Chains for my Fordson's rear wheels, to be able to plough my driveway when it is a sheet of ice.
Would there be any advantage to getting the chains galvanized. Tractor is always parked in the garage when not in use.
Comments would be appreciated

No not at all. You'll simply wear off the zinc coating when they are used, so why waste the money  A good spray with oil before storage will preserve them for a long time, Kenneth. Todd. |

Todd: Thanks. I will be leaving them on the tractor all year round, so as per your suggestion in the summer I will wipe them down with an oily rag  Kenneth |

Im going to attempt to make a set for my rover for next winter.They will be on a much smaller scale of course.They should help out alot for next years winter romp  |

The last time I was there (07) it seemed the majority of trucks were running chains at Winter Romp.

Niall,
a lot of the pictures I saw this year, the rigs had chains.
They obviously help but like John said, even in the winter that poor guy behind you who may not have chains is going to have a bugger of a time to get through. Which was evident in the pictures from this year.
