My new snowblower !

Sold my older project Mini and bought this, as it's just not looking like the Land Rover will be snow plow material in time this year.
It ought to be a marked improvement over my ancient 24 year old, 10hp, 26" cut model.
This'n has 13hp/45" cut, dual wheels, skid steer.....MMMmmm, can't wait for it to snow now, LOL!

Look at the cut on that thing .......45" Now that is wide.
What makes me wonder with that machine, is the performance you'll get in wet compact snow? Here in Sweden, we get a lot of wet snow, which makes for hard going at times.
I have a 30+ year old 6hp 26" snow blower that is the envy of the block. This old girl will go through anything and never dies......well only when I run out of gas and she can get thirsty.
The story how I get mine, is funny.
The neigbour has had it since new, btu he had it in for servicing a few years ago and they did something to it and it never ran right since. So it sat in his garage for years till I moved in next door. He saw that I was mechanically inclined, well the landy was in parts everywheres, so he said to me take it or it is going to the city dump. I dragged it back to the garage and removed the carb. Cleaned it out, then set it up properly.
First pull of the pull cord and she fired up and ran smooth as silk. He came running over and was in total AH! He said it never ran so good........That was 7 years ago and every time we get a big snow fall I do the both driveways, he's thankful of the service and I got a machine that runs great.

Dog sled racing in Nova Scotia is on a down-turn due to lack of snow. I like it that way.

This taken today.
My driveway is JUST barely off to the right of this shot. I am standing with my right foot on TOP of a 4.5' (or so) tall cedar fence post.
I apologize for the poor quality.

I don't think you should apologize, I think cedar fence posts are actually high quality!

I complained about all the snow,
so the last 2 days it's been raining and mild here 0 0 0 0 0 Go figure !
I Saw on the new s last night some newscast from Sweden and it looked like summer ! Holy cr@p Todd...what's up with that?!?!
In any case, everywhere I look now it's ice/ice/ice , so I took the old 14" tire chains leftover from the Dodge Shadow plow car and sorta made them fit the new snowblower tires..
...they don't fit "well", but I am usually in 1rst or 2nd gear, so I think I'll be OK if I keep an eye on them.
LAst night after dark I was motoring up the driveway having the snowblower PULL me on the ice, and my feet were both flat on the ground (ice) and it was kinda like surfing/skateboarding. Very fun.....
.........good thing it was dark...............I am sure the neighbours wonder things, like, look at that Mike....what's he up to now ?!?

Jupp, it was 14 C yesterday, today it was hovering aorund 9 C. Tomorrow around the same again.
WINTER........hahahha what a joke, snowed once in November all of 5 or 6 cm of it!
Ulla and I are already talking about which bushes we will be transplanting in the garden and where the new utilities shed will be built.

It was colder inside my garage than outside. I took the hose out to thaw! Washed the truck, vaccumed, blacked the tires. Looks good. Still a little cool out, but I had the urge to take my little car for a spin....
